Pepper RED WONDER

Sweet pepper variety 'Red Wonder' is a mid-season classic large-fruited variety widely appreciated by gardeners for its high yield and ease of cultivation. The plant reaches a height of 70-80 cm, has strong stems and abundant foliage, allowing it to bear 9-12 fruits simultaneously. The variety is highly adaptable and resilient to various agronomic conditions, successfully grown both in open ground, and in plastic greenhouses and polytunnels. The plant prefers loose loamy soils and moderate regular watering, while being resistant to verticillium wilt, mosaic virus, and other diseases, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest. Fruits of the 'Red Wonder' pepper are cube-shaped, slightly angular, with 3-4 chambers, measuring 9-11 cm in length and 8-9 cm in diameter, with an average weight ranging from 100 to 150 g. The fleshy walls are 5-10 mm thick, giving the fruits juiciness and firmness. At technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, turning to a vibrant red hue at biological maturity. The flavor is harmoniously balanced, making them suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for various thermal processing, canning, and freezing. The 'Red Wonder' variety is highly transportable and maintains its appearance and flavor qualities even after prolonged storage. Due to these characteristics, as well as its disease resistance and versatility, this pepper is an excellent choice for both amateur and professional cultivation. It is ideal for preparing fresh salads, hot dishes, and preserves, making it popular among gardeners.
