Solntsedar

The pepper variety Solncedar belongs to mid-season and low-maintenance crops, with a maturation period of 110-120 days from seedlings to fruiting. The plant is compact, reaching a height of about 50 cm, which allows saving space on beds or in plastic greenhouses. Despite its modest bush size, this variety is characterized by high yield — one plant can produce 5 to 8 large conical fruits weighing about 200 grams each. Fruit wall thickness varies from 6 to 8 mm, ensuring their meaty and juicy texture.

Unripe fruits have a light green color, which changes to bright red as they ripen, making them visually appealing and appetizing. Due to its excellent taste, Solncedar pepper is widely used in cooking: it is suitable for making fresh salads, canning, lecho, as well as baking and stuffing. This versatile product will be an excellent addition to various dishes and delight with its flavor and appearance.

For growing this variety, it is recommended to sow seedlings in late February, followed by transplanting when cotyledons appear. Seedlings should be transplanted into open ground or greenhouses by late May. An important agronomic measure is plant pruning, which includes removing all lateral branches and leaves up to the first fork, promoting better growth and fruiting. The optimal planting scheme is 40x40 cm, providing sufficient space for plant growth and care.
