Sweet pepper MAREK F1 is a mid-early, high-yielding hybrid of French selection from the producer Clause, intended for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. The plant is compact, medium-height, with well-developed vegetative and root systems, ensuring resistance to various climatic conditions and allowing for a significant fruit yield even at low or high temperatures. The hybrid is not demanding in agricultural practices and watering regime, shows high resistance to viral diseases such as Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), Pepper Mottle Virus (PMMoV), and moderate resistance to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV), as well as to leaf infections and wilting.

Vegetation period is 65-75 days, which allows the hybrid to be used for the first and second crop rotations. Fruits have blocky shape, size about 9-12 cm in length and 10-12 cm in width, wall thickness from 5 to 10 mm, and average weight of 250-300 grams. In technical maturity, fruits are green, and in biological maturity, they acquire a rich red color. A distinguishing feature is uniform fruit ripening, with 8-12 fruits per plant, ensuring high standard yield throughout the growing period.

Sweet pepper MAREK F1 has high taste qualities in both green and red forms, making it suitable for fresh market sales as well as processing and freezing. Fruits withstand long-term storage and long-distance transportation without loss of their commercial and taste qualities. Optimal planting density is 30-45 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to maximum yield and efficient use of area.
