Pepper Crimson Volcano

Technical Specifications and Cultivation

"Bagrianyi Vulkan" is a breeding achievement from the IPOiB UAAS, specifically engineered for both open-field production and glasshouse environments. It is an early-maturing cultivar with a growing season of 65–75 days, designed to meet the production cycles of Ukrainian farming. The plant architecture allows for efficient canopy management in protected structures.

Fruit Morphology and Quality

• Type: Sweet pepper, conical shape.
• Weight: 120–160 grams.
• Wall thickness: 6–8 mm.
• Color (biological maturity): Intense bright red.

The fruit is engineered for high marketability and durability. The wall thickness, reaching up to 8 mm, provides a robust structure, making the pepper highly resistant to transport-related bruising and maintaining shelf life. The consistent shape and size allow for automated sorting and packing, increasing operational efficiency for the grower.

Plant Health and Resistance

The core of this variety’s value proposition is its robust phytosanitary profile. It possesses a high level of resistance to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV) and a broad spectrum of common plant viral diseases. This built-in genetic defense significantly reduces the need for frequent pesticide applications, optimizing input costs. By minimizing the risk of yield loss due to viral infection, "Bagrianyi Vulkan" ensures higher profit margins in environments where disease pressure is typically elevated.
