TRENDI is a mid-season spring yellow-seeded pea variety intended for grain use. It is characterized by a vegetative period of about 81-82 days and a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 240 to 260 grams. The plants are leafless, with a height of 54 to 97 cm, yellow cotyledons, and light hilums. The variety is distinguished by rapid initial development and high resistance to lodging, ensuring crop stability even under unfavorable weather conditions. TRENDI pea has a high protein content, reaching 22.4–25%, making it valuable for both food and fodder use. It is resistant to spring frosts and drought, allowing for successful cultivation in various climatic zones, including forest-steppe, steppe, and forested-steppe. Moreover, the variety demonstrates high resistance to diseases such as ascochitosis, downy mildew, and gray mold, as well as powdery mildew and septoria, which reduces the need for intensive plant protection. Sowing recommendations include a sowing rate of 0.8 to 1.0 million viable seeds per hectare, a sowing depth of 4-5 cm, and inter-row spacing of 12.5 cm. The optimal planting density is 800-900 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to achieving a yield in the range of 60-70 centners per hectare. Seeds are supplied by the manufacturer SAATBAU (Probstdorfer Saatcuhst), which guarantees high quality and compliance with standards.
