Pea SIBIRSKIY BOGATYR

SIBIRSKIY BOGATYR is an early-maturing shelling pea variety characterized by a short growing season of 45-50 days. The plants are medium-height, reaching 45-55 cm, with medium foliage. Pods are straight with a blunt apex, 6-8 cm long, containing 6-8 seeds of rounded-angular shape in light green color. Seeds of medium size have good taste qualities, making the variety versatile for fresh consumption, canning, freezing, and dry storage. Yield is 0.3-0.5 kg per square meter, ensuring a stable harvest. The variety is distinguished by uniform pod formation and ripening, high resistance to lodging, and suitability for single-pass harvesting, which simplifies agricultural practices and improves crop quality. Due to these characteristics, SIBIRSKIY BOGATYR is popular among farmers and gardeners seeking early and quality pea harvests. Additionally, the variety has moderate resistance to ascochitis on leaves but is susceptible to pod and seed infection, as well as strong susceptibility to root rot, requiring careful attention to plant protection. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 184 to 270 g, and protein content in seeds is 24.2-25.9%, ensuring high nutritional value. Sowing rates are recommended within 95-110 thousand pieces per hectare. SIBIRSKIY BOGATYR is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Smolensk and Bryansk regions, where it demonstrates high yield and adaptability.
