Yellow field pea variety "Gotivskyi" is a leafless (erect) type, developed by breeders of the Institute of Agronomy of UAAN and included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. This variety is characterized by intensive growth, plant height of about 95-104 cm, and a vegetation period of 82 to 93 days, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Forest-Steppe, Steppe, and Polesie. The "Gotivskyi" pea is highly resistant to lodging, as well as root and fungal diseases, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions, including drought-prone areas. The seeds are large, with protein content ranging from 16% to 23.2%, making the variety versatile for both food and feed purposes. The average number of seeds per pod is 6-8, and the 1000-seed mass varies from 240 to 290 grams. The variety belongs to the ecaducum type, ensuring no shattering of seeds at maturity. The recommended seeding rate is 1.0 to 1.4 million germinating seeds per hectare, and harvesting should be conducted when seed moisture content is 17-18%. The potential yield of the "Gotivskyi" variety reaches 50 centners per hectare, with an average yield of 38-45 centners per hectare. Due to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for direct combine harvesting, simplifying the harvesting technology and increasing production efficiency. High adaptability and resistance to adverse factors make this variety an attractive choice for farmers seeking high-quality and stable yields of yellow pea.
