DKC4541

The DKC4541 hybrid sweet corn is a high-yielding, mid-early maturity hybrid with a maturity group of FAO 380, designed for conventional tillage. Plants reach a height of 230-260 cm and feature a strong structure and large ears with 18-20 rows and 36-42 kernels per ear. Kernels are dent-type, with starch content exceeding 72%, and 1000-kernel weight ranges from 330-390 grams. The hybrid is suitable for grain and silage production, as well as for biofuel production including biogas and bioethanol. DKC4541 demonstrates high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine, as well as southern, central, and partially western regions. It exhibits rapid moisture release during maturation, which is particularly important for effective harvest. The hybrid is resistant to drought (rating 9), lodging (9), and common corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, smut, and fusarium, ensuring stable and reliable yields even under adverse conditions. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture availability: 70-75 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, 60-65 thousand under limited moisture, and 50-60 thousand plants per hectare under unstable moisture conditions. The hybrid is suitable for monoculture and can be sown at soil temperatures as low as 8°C, expanding its applicability in various agronomic systems.
