Bosfor

The field pea variety Bosphorus is a semi-dwarf, medium-maturing plant with an upright stem reaching 55-75 cm in height. The plant has a bushy type with two flowers per peduncle, and pods of the shelling type with round, pink seeds and smooth surface. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 260 to 280 grams, and the crude protein content in seeds reaches 21-23%, making this variety a valuable source of plant-based protein.

The Bosphorus variety exhibits high resistance to various diseases and stress factors. It possesses high resistance to anthracnose, pea nematodes, ascochytosis, root rots, as well as various mosaic and olive rot diseases. In addition, the variety demonstrates good drought tolerance and resistance to lodging and shattering, contributing to stable yields. The yield potential reaches 2.5 tons per hectare, and the cultivation technology allows for direct combine harvesting, simplifying agronomic processes.
