Velvet

Velvet pea is a mid-early, high-yielding variety with a vegetation period of 75 to 85 days. Plants reach a height of 100-120 cm, ensuring strong initial growth and good adaptation to various soil-climatic conditions. The variety is characterized by plasticity and stability, allowing high yields in different regions. Recommended sowing density is 0.95 to 1.0 million plants per hectare, with a sowing depth of 4-5 cm and row spacing of 12.5 cm.

Velvet pea seeds are characterized by high quality: 1000-seed mass ranges from 210 to 270 grams, and the number of seeds per pod is 7-9. Protein content reaches 25-29%, making this variety especially valuable for fodder and food purposes. The pea exhibits excellent resistance to shattering and cracking, which contributes to maintaining yield during harvest and transportation.

Velvet variety has high resistance to major pea diseases, including ascochitosis, stem rot, powdery mildew, viral diseases, and pea rust, with resistance ratings of 8 to 9 points. It also shows high resistance to lodging and drought, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions.
