Pea GALACTIC

Stable Yield and High Efficiency: Why Choose "Galactic" Peas

For farmers focused on high-quality grain and minimal harvest losses, the Italian pea variety "Galactic" (bred by Agri Obtentions) from Apsovsementi S.P.A is a reliable addition to any crop rotation. This semi-leafless variety, due to its morphology and excellent lodging resistance, is perfectly adapted for modern industrial cultivation practices.

Agronomic Advantages in the Field

The primary benefit of "Galactic" is its operational efficiency, which simplifies logistics and reduces post-harvest processing costs. Thanks to its excellent suitability for direct combining, agronomists can optimize harvesting windows and minimize yield losses. The tall, semi-leafless plant structure creates a sturdy canopy that effectively resists lodging, even under high-moisture conditions.

• Biological Protection: The variety shows marked resistance to a complex of diseases, including Ascochyta blight, anthracnose, and root rots, significantly reducing the pesticide load during the growing season.
• Quality Indicators: Protein content ranges from 24% to 26%, making the crop highly sought after for both food markets and high-protein feed mixtures.
• Mass and Productivity: Large grain (1000-seed weight of 280–300 g) ensures high commercial output.

With a vegetation period of 80–90 days, "Galactic" is a versatile solution for various climatic zones. Its rapid development cycle allows for efficient use of spring moisture, helping the crop escape the peak summer temperatures that negatively impact pod filling. Integrating this variety into your planting program is a strategic investment in technological efficiency, yield consistency, and predictable results.
