Veselik — a high-yielding pea variety with upright, leafless stems, developed by NAAN of Ukraine and registered in 2010. This variety features round, yellow seeds that exceed average size, as well as high resistance to various diseases and stress factors. The recommended seeding rate is 250–300 thousand seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal plant development and high yield.
Veselik belongs to early-maturing varieties, with a period from sowing to maturity of about 45 days, allowing for late harvests if needed. Plants reach a height of approximately 40 cm, and pods about 8 cm long contain 7–8 dark green peas. The variety is characterized by uniform ripening, high sugar and vitamin C content, which gives the peas an excellent taste and superior technological qualities.
This pea is ideal for canning and fresh consumption due to its taste and texture. Veselik combines high productivity, disease resistance, and versatility in application, making it an attractive choice for agricultural production and food industry.
