Description STAR PATH
Sea buckthorn «Star Path» – an intermediate-term variety obtained in cooperation with the Institute of Citrus and Pear Cultivation of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Novosibirsk Zonal Station of Pomology. The tree reaches heights of up to 2.9 m, has an oval canopy and flexible branches; the thorniness is weak, which facilitates fruit harvesting.

The variety is characterized by medium weight fruits (0.69–0.89 g), oval shape, and dark orange color with characteristic spots at the base and tip. The flesh is dense, with a sour taste and medium aroma, making the berries suitable both for fresh consumption and culinary purposes. The fruit contains 5.4% sugars, 2.6% acids, 29.6 mg/100 g of carotenoids, 266.3 mg/100 g of ascorbic acid, and 4.5% fats.

The variety is distinguished by high yield – from 9.8 to 13 tons/hectare when planted on a 4×2 m plot. It tolerates endomycosis well, is resistant to drought, and has low damage from sea buckthorn flies. The fruits remain on the bush for up to 1.2 months, are easily transported, and are suitable for canning, freezing, and juice production.
