Sea-buckthorn "Triumph" – a large-fruited variety of late maturity, suitable for cultivation in the harsh climatic conditions of Siberia. The bush is medium-sized and moderately spreading, without thorns on the upper part of the shoots, which facilitates fruit harvesting. Leaves are dark green, the leaf blade is moderately hairy, matte, and leathery.
Fruits of the "Triumph" variety are large, cylindrical in shape, red in color with a thick, tough skin. The fleshy pedicel is long (more than 7 mm), dry detachment, ensuring good transportability and storage of fruits. On average, the berry mass is 0.9 g, containing 3.5% sugars, 1.5% acids, 93 mg of vitamin C per 100 g, 4.3% oil, and 31.4 mcg of carotenoids. The berries have a sour taste, the taste assessment of fresh berries is 3.5 points, and juice with pulp is 4 points.
The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, resistance to diseases and pests, as well as medium yield of about 122 c/ha. Thanks to large fruits and good shelf life, berries are suitable both for the production of fresh products and for processing into juices, canned goods and cosmetic products.
