Oat variety Spurt is a mid-season hybrid of the Aurea type, developed by the Grain Crop Institute of NAAN Ukraine. This spring crop reaches a height of 95-100 cm and has a vegetation period of 75 to 95 days. Spurt is intended for cultivation in the steppe zone and is primarily used for grain production. The grain is large, yellow, with a 1000-grain weight of 31 to 36 grams and a natural weight of 350-370 g. The panicle is semi-compressed, long (15-17 cm), yellow, and highly productive, while the stem is cylindrical and hollow, contributing to the plant's resilience.
The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 4.6-4.9 tons per hectare, and exhibits high adaptability to drought conditions, particularly in the spring. Spurt shows resistance to lodging (8 points), drought (9 points), disease infection (9 points), and shattering (8 points). Due to these characteristics, it positively responds to high agronomic inputs, enabling its effective use in intensive agrotechnologies.
Oat Spurt is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-yield grain harvest in the steppe zone of Ukraine. Its resistance to adverse factors and large grain size make this variety advantageous for producing quality raw material. Seed production is carried out in Ukraine, ensuring the variety's adaptation to local climatic conditions and soils.
