SAYAN spring oat variety is a mid-early hulled oat with a vegetation period of 72 to 90 days. Plants reach a height of 93-100 cm under both extensive and intensive cultivation methods. The panicle is semi-closed, medium length, yellow in color, with up to 15% awniness. The grain is semi-long, large, and yellow, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 34 to 39 grams. The variety's hulling rate is approximately 26%, and the grain natural weight varies between 490–540 g/l. The SAYAN variety is distinguished by its medium resistance to lodging and is valued for its high-quality grain. Yield ranges from 3.2 to 5.2 tons per hectare, making it attractive for cultivation in the East Siberian region. However, the variety is susceptible to diseases such as ergot, rusts, bacterial burn, and viral diseases, requiring careful attention to crop protection. The variety has been registered and included in the State Register for the East Siberian region, confirming its adaptation to the climatic conditions of this territory. The variety's originators are leading scientific and agricultural institutions, ensuring its breeding quality and compliance with modern agronomic requirements.
