Description Decameron
Winter wheat variety Decameron is a medium-maturing variety with a vegetation period of about 95 days. It has been included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2007 and is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe, forest-steppe, and steppe zones. Plants reach a height of 87 to 98 cm, ensuring good resistance to lodging and shattering.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases, including bacterial blight, rust of cereal crops, and leaf rust, with resistance ratings of 7-9 points. Drought tolerance is moderate, allowing the variety to grow successfully under various climatic conditions. Potential yield reaches 75 centners per hectare, making it profitable for both grain and forage use.

Protein content in grain is 13.8%, thousand-grain weight is 35.2 grams. The recommended seeding rate is 4.0-4.5 million seeds per hectare. Seed storage should be conducted at a temperature of +7 to +10 degrees Celsius and humidity not exceeding 10%. Seed packaging is usually done in 1000 kg bags.
