Description Veselopolyans'ke 632
Veselopolyans'ke 632 — a sorghum variety registered in Ukraine since 2006. It was developed by individual selection from a hybrid combination of the varieties Myronovs'ke 51 and Veselopolyans'ke 176. This medium-late variety has a vegetation period of 85–100 days and belongs to the Forest-Steppe ecological group. Plants reach a height of 90–110 cm, have a long (27–32 cm), compressed, heavily drooping panicle. Leaves and spikelet bracts lack anthocyanin pigmentation, and the 1000-seed weight is 8.2–9.0 g.

The grain of this variety is dark yellow, large, oval-round, with a huskiness of 17–18%. The flour yield reaches 78–80%, and the millet has a bright yellow color and good flavor qualities. The variety is resistant to melanosis and has moderate resistance to smut. It also exhibits drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The potential productivity of Veselopolyans'ke 632 is 5.5–7.0 t/ha. The seeding rate varies by region: 4 million/ha for the Polissia region, 3.2–3.6 million/ha for the Forest-Steppe, and 2.2–2.6 million/ha for the Steppe. The variety is intended for producing valuable products with high technological and culinary qualities.
