SARATOVSKOE 15 is a mid-late maturity proso cultivar developed by complex stepwise hybridization at the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of the South-East. It is recommended for cultivation in the Ural region, including the Republic of Bashkortostan, Kurgan, and Orenburg regions. The variety's growing season ranges from 82 to 104 days, ensuring its adaptability to the rapidly changing climate conditions of the continental arid climate. Plants are characterized by compact panicles, moderately loose and weakly to moderately drooping, without anthocyanin pigmentation, which contributes to their resistance to lodging.

The grain of the SARATOVSKOE 15 variety is round, red in color with an intensely yellow endosperm, due to the high content of carotenoid pigments. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 7.1 to 9.2 grams, indicating large grain size and high product quality. These properties make the variety particularly valuable for the production of high-quality groats. Average yield reaches 13.0 centners per hectare, confirming the high productivity of the variety.

The variety possesses complex resistance to 15 races of the head smut pathogen, controlled by linked resistance genes Sp1,4 and a free gene Sp2, as well as high resistance to melanosis and drought. These characteristics ensure crop stability and allow for successful cultivation of the variety in arid climate conditions.
