The Narat pea variety is a mid-season variety distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering. It was created to produce high-quality protein and possesses excellent commercial and culinary properties, making it a valuable food variety. Narat is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Central, Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Ural, and West Siberia.
One of the key characteristics of the variety is the high protein content in the grain, which averages 23.75% and can reach up to 27%. This makes Narat attractive for use in the food industry and for producing products with high vegetable protein content. Additionally, the variety demonstrates high yield, exceeding the standard by 2.2 c/ha in competitive trials, with a maximum recorded yield of 54 c/ha.
Due to the combination of high productivity, resistance to unfavorable conditions, and quality grain characteristics, the Narat variety is widely used in agriculture in various regions of Russia. Its use contributes to increasing pea production efficiency and ensures the stable acquisition of high-quality raw materials for further processing and consumption.
