Rugby melon F1 is a mid-season hybrid of the pineapple type with elongated fruits of dark yellow color and a strongly segmented surface without a net. Fruit weight ranges from 1.9 to 2.2 kg; the flesh is light orange, medium thickness, tender, juicy, and mealy with good taste and moderate aroma. The seed cavity is medium-sized; seeds are whitish, medium-sized, resembling pine nuts. The plant is trailing with a main vine of medium length and light green dissected leaves of medium size.

The hybrid is distinguished by high yield, reaching 6.1-6.8 kg per square meter when grown under film covers. The recommended planting density is 50-80 cm between furrows, sowing depth 3-4 cm, after soil heating to 16 °C. The best predecessors for growing Rugby melons are potatoes, cabbage, and legumes. This hybrid tolerates heat well and possesses complex resistance to diseases, ensuring a stable and quality harvest.

Rugby melon is distinguished by excellent transportability, which makes it convenient for storage and transportation.
