Melon BABYE SUMMER

The 'Babye Summer' melon variety is a medium-late hybrid intended for cultivation under plastic covers in personal subsidiary holdings. The plant is vining with a main vine of medium length and medium-sized green leaves with weak leaf segmentation. This variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 6.6-7.2 kg of marketable fruits per square meter when grown under plastic film.

The fruits of the 'Babye Summer' melon have a characteristic square shape with a tapering base. Their surface is dark green, decorated with small green dots, smooth with slight wrinkling at the base and without a netted pattern. The weight of the fruits varies from 2.3 to 2.9 kg. The flesh is light orange, thick, juicy, tender, and melts in the mouth. The taste of the fruits is rated as good and excellent, with a medium intensity aroma. The seed nest is of medium size, with central dry closed placentas, and the seeds are cream-yellow, medium-sized, and have a shape different from a pine nut.

The 'Babye Summer' melon is intended for fresh consumption, making it an excellent choice for those who value juicy and aromatic fruits with a pleasant taste. Due to its characteristics and high yield, this hybrid is popular among gardeners growing melons under plastic covers.
