HALINA — a mid-season melon hybrid intended for cultivation in greenhouses, film coverings, and open ground, primarily in southern regions. The maturation period ranges from 75 to 90 days from germination to technical maturity. The plant is vining with a main vine of medium length, which allows efficient use of trellises for tying and bush formation. For optimal growth, it is recommended to remove side shoots up to a height of 50 cm and pinch subsequent ones above the 1-3rd leaf. Sowing for seedlings is carried out at the end of April - beginning of May, and planting in open ground - at the end of May - beginning of June, when the seedlings reach an age of about 25 days.

HALINA fruits have an oval shape, a smooth surface of grayish-green color with a barely noticeable netting or small yellow spots. Fruit mass varies from 1 to 2.6 kg, making them quite large and attractive to consumers. The flesh is green, melting, tender, and juicy, with a light melon aroma and excellent taste. The hybrid is characterized by high commercial value and resistance to diseases such as fusarium and powdery mildew, which contributes to a stable and quality harvest.

For planting, a scheme of 45x150 cm or 140x60-70 cm between rows with a density of 50-80 cm between holes is recommended. Yield reaches 6.7-7.1 kg per square meter. Irrigation should be moderate, especially during fruit maturation, to ensure optimal conditions for flavor and flesh structure formation. Recommended predecessors for growing HALINA are potatoes, cabbage, and legumes, which helps maintain soil fertility and reduce the risk of diseases.
