Watermelon Tribeca F1 (KS 6147 F1) is a medium-early hybrid of pineapple type developed by Kitano Seeds. The fruit ripens in 65-70 days after transplanting, allowing harvest at optimal times. The plant features a strong root system, long stems, and dense foliage that effectively protects the fruit from sunburn. The hybrid is highly stress-tolerant, well-adapted to drought, sudden temperature changes, and resistant to diseases such as Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew. Watermelon Tribeca fruits have a classic oval shape with light-orange rind and fine, distinct netting that reliably protects the inner flesh from damage and pests. Average fruit weight ranges from 1 to 2.5 kg, with flesh exhibiting bright orange color, uniform texture, and high juiciness. The fruit flavor is rich and sweet, with sugar content up to 12%, making them particularly appealing for fresh consumption. The seed cavity is small and easily separates from the flesh, facilitating fruit processing. Watermelon Tribeca F1 is suitable for cultivation in open ground, both direct sowing and transplanting, offering flexibility in agronomy. The plant forms sturdy bushes, yielding up to four uniform fruits per plant. Thanks to its strong rind and good transportability, the fruits retain their flavor and nutritional qualities during storage and transportation.
