Description Shinari
Shinari F1 (KS 7066 F1) watermelon is a late-type Honey Dew hybrid developed by the Dutch seed company Kitano Seeds. The maturation period is approximately 75-80 days from transplanting, allowing it to be grown in open ground. The plant features a strong, balanced structure with long stems, dense foliage, and a well-developed root system. Due to its dense leaf coverage, the fruits are well protected from sunburn, and the hybrid demonstrates high stress tolerance and good adaptation to temperature fluctuations. For increased yield, regular soil watering and fertilization are recommended.

Shinari watermelon fruits are round and weigh 1.8-2.5 kg. Their skin is smooth, thin, dense, and colored in bright or dark yellow, giving them an attractive market appearance. The flesh is white or cream-colored, juicy, crisp, and has a rich sweet flavor with sugar content of 15-16%. The seed cavity is small, enhancing the fruit's taste. Thanks to its dense skin and excellent internal structure, the watermelon withstands long-distance transportation without loss of quality or marketability, with a fruit harvesting period that can last up to one month.

Shinari F1 is widely used for fresh market sales and is also suitable for preparing various dishes and drying. This hybrid is characterized by high fruit uniformity and density, resistance to powdery mildew and fusarium wilt, making it a reliable choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to achieve high-quality, flavorful harvests.
