DescriptionKURSHAVEL
Narrow-leaved lupine (Lupinus angustifolius L.) is a medium-height forage crop reaching 60–70 cm in height. The plant has an upright and determinate growth type with a standard shape. Leaves are dark green, with short-medium terminal leaflets that are narrow.
Lupine flowers are bluish-white with a light yellow tip on the keel. Inflorescences have a raceme structure, the peduncle is of medium length, and each inflorescence contains 10 or more flowers. Pods are of medium size with a strong parchment layer, usually 7–10 pods per stem. Seeds are round in shape, white with small spots, measuring 8–10 mm.
The variety is characterized by an early start of flowering and medium yield of dry matter of about 30 c/ha at full maturity. Simplified single-profile harvesting allows for efficient collection of product at maximum maturity. Narrow-leaved lupine is widely used as a forage crop due to its high protein content and ease of cultivation.
