DescriptionFlamingo
Lupin "Flamingo" is a perennial plant with an upright growth habit and a height of 80 to 120 cm. The stems are hollow and sturdy, while the leaves are narrow and dark green. The flowers are large, spike-like, and have a delicate pink hue, often with a blue-black color at the base of the calyx.
The vegetation period is 85–95 days, and the yield of green mass reaches 390 to 490 centners per hectare. The grain is characterized by a light-gray shade with indistinct mottling and contains about 35% protein, while the alkaloid level in the grain does not exceed 0.035%. The plant is practically resistant to anthracnose.
"Flamingo" is widely used for both group and individual plantings. It is also valued for its decorative appeal: after flowering ends in early summer, the aerial part is pruned, which stimulates a second flowering in August–September. Thanks to this, the plant is suitable for both living hedges and creating bouquets.
