Lettuce Obzhorka

Why "Obzhorka" has become a favorite in the garden

When you head out to the garden for fresh greens, you want maximum volume with minimum effort. The "Obzhorka" lettuce from Agrofirma Aelita is exactly that case where the name speaks for itself.

Cultivation and harvesting specifics

• Plant type: a leaf lettuce that does not require forming a dense head, which simplifies maintenance.
• Ripening terms: early-maturing, allowing for the first harvest as quickly as possible after sowing.
• Dimensions: the rosettes grow quite large, providing an excellent yield per square meter.

During cultivation, "Obzhorka" proved to be an undemanding crop. The main focus should be on regular watering to keep the leaves juicy and prevent bitterness. Since it is a leaf type, harvesting can be done gradually by picking the lower leaves or by cutting the entire rosette at once. Given the mass of the plant, this is an economically sound approach for any household garden. The selection work by the team of Nastenko, Kachaynik, and Kandoba was clearly aimed at achieving consistent results. Due to its rapid growth, the risk of pest damage is minimal—the lettuce simply doesn't have time to become their lunch.
