Lettuce Green Coral

Why choose Green Coral by Svityaz

The «Green Coral» lettuce variety by the manufacturer «Svityaz» is a classic representative of the Oakleaf type. It is prized by growers for its distinctively ruffled, light-green leaves and a delicate flavor profile that remains free of bitterness even during optimal maturity. This early-maturing variety is an excellent choice for both home gardens and professional fresh-market production.

Core Benefits and Specifications

• Disease Resistance: The plant features strong natural resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis) and shows high tolerance against powdery mildew, significantly reducing the need for chemical intervention.
• Morphology: It forms a compact, well-structured rosette of medium weight, making it highly suitable for bulk handling and retail packaging.
• Efficiency: As an early-maturing variety, it allows for quick turnaround times, helping producers maximize their seasonal yield.

Optimal Use and Cultivation

«Green Coral» is specifically designed for growers who prioritize crop health and shelf life. Unlike many other lettuce varieties that lose their turgor quickly after harvest, the leaves of this Oakleaf variety remain crisp and appealing for a longer period, which is a major advantage for commercial distribution.

While this variety is well-adapted to various soil types, it performs best under consistent moisture levels. Its resistance to common fungal pathogens ensures that the harvest remains clean and marketable, even in humid conditions. For the consumer, it provides a tender, leafy texture that serves as a perfect base for any culinary dish. If you are looking for a reliable, disease-resistant variety that offers a beautiful aesthetic without sacrificing ease of growth, this product is an outstanding candidate.
