Description Kirinia
Kirinia salad is an early variety of lettuce developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The vegetation period ranges from 40 to 55 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant forms a dense rosette of light-green leaves weighing 350-400 grams, which have a tender and crisp taste. The leaves are relatively thick, giving the lettuce additional juiciness and making it appealing for use in fresh salads and as a garnish for dishes.

This variety is well adapted for cultivation in open ground during the summer, preferring well-lit and fertilized soils with a neutral pH. Kirinia shows high heat and temperature fluctuation tolerance, but is less suitable for cultivation under high humidity conditions typical of the autumn season. The lettuce does not tolerate excessive air humidity, which should be considered when planning planting.

Kirinia is resistant to various diseases, including false powdery mildew, and is not prone to bolting or infestation by aphids. Thanks to these qualities, the variety ensures stable productivity both in open fields and in greenhouse or hydroponic conditions. The leaves are widely used for preparing fresh salads, accompanying meat and fish dishes, and for decorative arrangements in culinary compositions.
