Arugula Gemini

Genetic Potential and Leaf Morphology

The «Gemini» arugula (rocket) hybrid, developed by A L Tozer, is a professional-grade cultivar optimized for high-intensity green production. The core technical advantage lies in its leaf architecture: a broad, deeply serrated leaf structure that maximizes photosynthetic efficiency. This structural design enables the plant to rapidly build vegetative biomass, resulting in a consistent harvest cycle.

Yield and Agronomic Performance

For commercial growers, the reliability of «Gemini» is anchored in its yield potential, which consistently reaches 2.5–3.0 kg/m². The deep dark-green pigmentation is not merely aesthetic; it indicates high chlorophyll density, which translates to better post-harvest shelf life and maintained turgor pressure during transit. The variety is engineered by A L Tozer to maintain uniformity, ensuring that harvesting logistics are predictable and efficient.

Sensory Profile

The flavor profile of «Gemini» is defined by a sharp, piquant intensity—a result of specific breeding for essential oil content. This makes it an ideal selection for premium salad mixes and culinary applications requiring a distinct, punchy flavor. The flavor consistency remains stable throughout the growth cycle, ensuring that the final produce meets high market standards for taste and visual quality.
