Eggplant WHITE LILY (PERSPECTIVE)

Genetic Selection and Fruit Morphology

The 'Belaya Liliya' (White Lily) variety is a product of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAAS. The key advantage of this eggplant lies in its biochemical composition and skin density. Unlike traditional dark-pigmented varieties, this hybrid is characterized by a significantly low solanine content, which effectively eliminates natural bitterness. This technical solution allows for immediate culinary processing without the need for preliminary soaking.

Technical Cultivation Parameters

• Field Performance: The variety is specifically engineered for open-field cultivation. It exhibits strong adaptive resilience to the temperature fluctuations typical of the Ukrainian climate during the growing season.
• Fruit Specifications: The commercial weight of the fruit ranges from 200 to 250 grams. This weight class ensures optimal sizing for standardized packaging and supply chain logistics.
• Pigmentation: The complete absence of anthocyanins in the epidermis results in a pristine white color. The flesh remains firm and solid, preventing internal voids and ensuring structural integrity during post-harvest handling.

The practical value of 'Belaya Liliya' lies in its yield reliability and superior texture. The lack of tough fibers, even at full maturity, makes it a highly desirable choice for both boutique farming and professional food processing industries.
