The 'Rusalochka' indau (arugula) variety stands as a testament to the advancements in Russian vegetable breeding. Developed by experts at the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, including Y.P. Shevchenko and V.F. Pivovarov, this cultivar has established a strong presence in the market for early-maturing greens. It is widely recognized for its consistent performance and ability to meet the rigorous demands of fresh market production.

Growth Cycle and Culinary Profile

With a vegetation period of just 35–45 days from sowing, 'Rusalochka' is an ideal candidate for high-turnover crop cycles. The plants reach a height of 30–40 cm, forming compact, manageable rosettes that are easy to harvest. Its reliable growth pattern makes it a favorite for growers looking to maintain a continuous supply of fresh produce throughout the season.

• Flavor Profile: The variety is prized for its signature sharp, peppery taste, which is a hallmark of high-quality indau.
• Application: Primarily intended for the fresh market, it is an essential ingredient in salad mixes and as a gourmet garnish.

The reputation of 'Rusalochka' is built upon the solid foundation of its originators' work. As a protected variety, it offers farmers the assurance of genetic stability and true-to-type performance. By choosing 'Rusalochka', producers invest in a trusted product that balances rapid development with the distinct sensory qualities that consumers expect from premium arugula.
