Sorento

Indau arugula variety «Sorrento» is an early-maturing option, ready for harvest in as little as 22‑28 days after sowing. The plant forms a compact rosette 18–20 cm high; its leaves are lyrate and slightly indented at the edges, giving them a characteristic look.

«Sorrento» is valued for its rich mustard‑olive flavor and aroma. Because of this, it is ideal for fresh salads, as a side dish for meat and fish dishes, and as a seasoning in soups. Finely chopped leaves can be used in sandwiches to add a bright, piquant accent.

Arugula leaves are rich in vitamins and trace elements, making them a healthy addition to the diet. Yield ranges from 1.0 to 1.3 kg/m². The plant is undemanding: it can be grown in open ground, under film coverings, or in pots on the windowsill. Sowing takes place from April to August, with a depth of about 1 cm.
