Arugula 'Neapolitano': High-Yield Variety for Commercial Green Production

For growers supplying the premium fresh herb market, 'Neapolitano' arugula (indau) by Aelita Agrofirma offers a reliable solution for consistent, high-quality production. Known for its broad, serrated leaves and vibrant green color, this variety is specifically bred to meet the demands of commercial salad processors and local markets alike.

Practical Cultivation and Operations

The 'Neapolitano' variety is characterized by a height of 20-30 cm at maturity. It fits perfectly into intensive growing schedules due to its mid-season maturity cycle. Growers can expect a stable yield of 2.0 to 3.0 kg per square meter, provided that irrigation and soil fertility are managed effectively.

• Operational Efficiency: The uniform plant architecture allows for efficient mechanical or manual harvesting, reducing labor costs during peak season.
• Culinary Profile: With its signature sharp, peppery flavor, this variety is the go-to for salad mixes, providing the intensity that high-end culinary applications require.
• Market Readiness: Its structural integrity ensures that leaves remain crisp and visually appealing from the field to the retail shelf.

Success with 'Neapolitano' hinges on maintaining consistent moisture. In a professional farming setup, this variety performs best in well-structured soil where fast growth is supported by steady nutrient intake. By choosing Aelita's 'Neapolitano', agricultural producers secure a predictable, high-value crop that excels in both yield volume and market demand.
