White Shasla

White Shasla is an ancient table grape variety widely grown in countries with advanced viticulture, such as France, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. This variety belongs to the eco-geographical group of North Africa and is characterized by high yield. The vines are vigorous, and the berries ripen early, making the grape suitable for fresh consumption, juice, and wine production.

The clusters are medium-sized, conical or cylinder-conical in shape, with medium density. The berries are round, greenish-white with a characteristic blush and thin but tough skin. The flesh is very tender and juicy, with a pleasant flavor. Due to its good fleshiness and resistance to transport, the grape withstands shipping and winter storage well, making it convenient for commercial use.

White Shasla prefers fertile, well-watered soils, especially gentle slopes with light soils. The variety has moderate frost resistance and disease resistance, but it has low drought tolerance, requiring appropriate care and growing conditions. There are numerous clones and varieties of this grape, which demonstrates its popularity and adaptability to various climatic conditions.
