The Odessa Souvenir grape variety is a mid-late table grape variety developed by Ukrainian breeders at the Taиров Institute of Viticulture through crossing the Moldavian Black and Hamburg Muscat varieties. The vines are vigorous, with well-matured reddish-brown cane and five-lobed, deeply incised leaves with hairs on the underside. The clusters are large and medium-sized, 15–25 cm long, predominantly conical, loose, and very attractive in appearance. The berries are black, elongated-oval in shape, large (about 30x15 mm), with a waxy bloom, have a dense skin and fleshy pulp with a sharp muscat aroma. The variety is characterized by high and stable yield, with an average cluster weight of 270–300 g. The grapes have good marketability, transportability, and are suitable for storage under winter conditions for up to three months. The sugar content of the berries ranges from 16 to 20%, acidity is 7–8 g/l, providing a harmonious taste and high tasting score of about 8.7 points. Ripening occurs in the second half of September, though it may vary depending on weather conditions. Odessa Souvenir is resistant to gray mold and grape leaf roller, has moderate resistance to mildew, but is sensitive to oidium. It is recommended to grow on a high-stemmed cordon formation with a stem height of about 70 cm. The grape is sun-loving, so sunny locations should be chosen for planting. The variety has moderate frost resistance, requiring consideration of climatic conditions during cultivation.
