LUCISTY KISHMISH

Lucisty Kishmish is a high-quality seedless grape variety with an early-mid maturity period, ripening in 125-130 days, usually by mid or late August. This variety was bred at the Moldavian Research Institute of Viticulture and Viticulture by crossing the "Cardinal" and "Pink Kishmish" varieties and is deservedly valued for its taste and commercial qualities. Bushes are medium or vigorous with heart-shaped leaves of light green color. Bunches are large, conical or cylinder-conical in shape, up to 40 cm long, medium density and loose, weighing from 200 to 600 grams and more.

Lucisty Kishmish berries are oval-oblong, golden-pink and pink-red in color, up to 25x22 mm in size and weighing from 2.5 to 4 grams. The flesh is dense and juicy with a delicate, harmonious taste and a slight muscat tone and aroma. The skin is soft and practically not felt when eaten. Sugar content in the berries is 17-21%, acidity — 6-7 g/l, which ensures a pleasant balance of taste.

The variety is distinguished by high yield and good transportability, perfectly withstands transport and long-term storage. Frost resistance of the variety reaches -21°C, which is characteristic of European grape varieties. However, Lucisty Kishmish requires careful care and proper agronomy to achieve maximum results. To increase berry size, gibberellin may be applied. Shoot maturity for the variety is good, fruiting shoots 50-70%, with the number of bunches per shoot 1.3-1.6.
