The 'Winner' grape variety is a mid-late hybrid obtained by crossing the Nimrang and Hamburg Muscat varieties. Bushes have medium growth vigor, with large, five-lobed, round leaves featuring a dark green upper surface and moderate pubescence on the underside. The flowers are perfect (bisexual), which facilitates good pollination and crop formation. Bunches are very large, conical or cylindro-conical in shape, loose, with an average mass of up to 900 grams and individual specimens reaching up to 3 kilograms.
The 'Winner' grape berries are distinguished by their large size—about 10-25 grams, oval or elongated egg-shaped with a pointed tip. Their coloration ranges from dark red to dark violet, almost black, with a moderate density of waxy bloom. The flesh is dense, fleshy, and crisp, with a harmonious combination of sugar and acidity, providing a pleasant taste and high tasting score. The variety ripens in the second half of September, accumulating up to 18% sugar at an acidity of 7-8 g/dm³.
Winner has medium frost resistance and requires winter covering in colder regions. Disease and pest resistance is at a medium level. The grape is characterized by high marketability and transportability, making it suitable for long-distance transport and market sales. Due to these qualities, the variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region.
