Description
Hamburg Muscat is a mid-late universal grape variety developed in England for greenhouse culture. The bushes are of medium height with perfect flowers, ensuring good pollination and crop formation. The clusters are medium to large, conical, and branched. The berries are large, oval, dark blue or violet-blue with a thick waxy bloom, possessing a rich muscat aroma and pleasant taste. The variety prefers cultivation on southern and south-western slopes with light soils such as loams, loamy sands, and sands. It adapts well to these conditions, however, it has weak resistance to frosts and diseases, including mildew, oidium, grey rot of berries, bacterial cancer, and phylloxera. The frost resistance of the variety reaches approximately -18 °C, which requires additional protection in colder regions. Hamburg Muscat is widely used as a table variety, and is also suitable for making compotes, juices, jams, and marinades due to its rich taste and aroma. Its versatility and original muscat flavor make this grape popular among gardeners and grape lovers who value high-quality and aromatic berries.
