Description KUMSHATTSKY WHITE
Kumshatsky White is a valuable Don grape variety known for its high yield and fruit quality. The bushes are vigorous with large, five-lobed leaves that have a wavy-funnel shape and deep lobes. The undersides of the leaves are covered with dense cobwebby pubescence mixed with bristles. The flowers are hermaphroditic, which promotes good pollination and crop formation. The clusters are large, conical or cylindro-conical, and dense, with a length of about 18-20 cm and an average weight of about 250-400 g. The berries are of medium size, round, greenish-white with a slight yellowish tint at full maturity, have medium skin thickness, and tender juicy flesh.

The Kumshatsky White variety belongs to the medium-late maturity category and is characterized by a period from bud break to technical maturity of about 135-140 days with a sum of active temperatures of 2800-2900°C. It has increased winter hardiness, making it promising for cultivation in northern zones of industrial viticulture. The yield of the variety reaches 70-80 centners per hectare, which is twice as high compared to some control varieties. The sugar content of the berry juice varies within 20-24 g/100 cm³, and the titratable acidity is 5-9 g/dm³, which ensures high quality of wine materials.

Kumshatsky White grapes are widely used for producing high-quality table wines and wine materials for sparkling wines. Wines from this variety are distinguished by good organoleptic properties and do not lag behind in quality compared to products from other well-known varieties. In addition, juices are obtained from the berries, which expands the possibilities of applying the variety in the wine and food industries. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, Kumshatsky White is a promising variety for developing viticulture in regions with a moderate climate.
