KAPSEL'SKIY WHITE is an indigenous Crimean grape variety, included in the State Registry for the North Caucasus region. It belongs to the mid-late ripening period and is intended for technical use, in particular for the production of dessert wines and port. The bushes of this variety are vigorous, with medium-sized, strongly lobed and non-pubescent leaves. Flowers are hermaphrodite, which contributes to high fruitfulness of the plant.
Bunches of KAPSEL'SKIY WHITE are medium to large, conical or cylinder-conical in shape, medium density, and weigh about 220 grams. Berries have medium size, round shape and white color with a gray tint. They are juicy, with colorless juice and absence of pronounced aftertaste. At harvest maturity, berries contain about 22.5 g of sugars per 100 cm³ and 5.7 g of acids per dm³, which ensures a high tasting evaluation of dessert wines, reaching 8.7 points.
The yield of the variety is high, averaging 85 centners per hectare, but can be unstable. KAPSEL'SKIY WHITE has medium resistance to fungal diseases and is weakly affected by pests, which facilitates vineyard care. Thanks to its characteristics and qualities, this variety is popular among winemakers seeking to obtain quality dessert wine.
