Description

The Moscow grape variety is an early-mid to early table variety developed at the Fruit Experimental Station of MSA (Moscow State Agricultural Academy) by crossing the Madeline Angevine and Dzhandjal Kara varieties. The bushes of this variety are characterized by medium to strong growth vigor, and clusters can weigh up to 600 grams. The berries are round, light green or white in color with a muscat flavor, and their size varies from small to large. The fruit skin is soft, and the taste is sweet and pleasant, making the variety attractive for fresh consumption.

The Moscow variety is distinguished by high juice sugar content, reaching 22-23%, with acidity of 6-7 g/l, which ensures a rich and harmonious taste. Disease resistance of this variety is moderate, while frost resistance is high — up to -28°C, allowing it to be grown in various climatic conditions. Cultivation is recommended both in open and protected ground, which expands its usage possibilities.

This grape variety is versatile in application: it is excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for juice production and processing. High yield and pleasant taste qualities make the Moscow variety popular among gardeners and grape enthusiasts. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is successfully used for both personal consumption and commercial cultivation.
