Apple Theophila

Breeding Profile and Habit

The 'Teofiliia' variety is a product of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden. This summer apple variety is designed for compact orchard management and early maturation. The tree's primary attribute is its low vigor, making it an ideal choice for high-density planting schemes. The spreading crown architecture enhances light penetration into the inner canopy, reducing density and simplifying maintenance routines.

Fruit Morphology and Technical Specs

The fruit characteristics are geared towards the early summer market segment:

• Shape: Round-cylindrical, providing a stable visual appearance.
• Size: Up to 50 grams, typical for dessert summer varieties.
• Coloration: Yellowish-green ground color.
• Internal structure: Cream-colored flesh with a delicate texture.

The small size of the fruit and its summer harvest window make 'Teofiliia' suitable for fresh consumption and processing. The low vigor of the tree reduces pruning labor, while the spreading crown structure ensures optimal fruit light exposure, which is critical for the flavor development of early-ripening varieties.
