PERVOTAROVSKAYA is a variety of Sarepta mustard (Sinapis alba L.) intended for the production of seeds from which food oil and meal are obtained. The plant is tall, reaching a height of about 149 cm, while the lower branches are attached at approximately 78 cm level, providing good uniformity of plants and facilitating mechanized harvesting.
The variety is characterized by early maturity: the growing period is only 76 days, which is six days shorter than the standard period for this species. The time from emergence to beginning of flowering – 34 days. Seeds have an average number per pod and a high mass (1000 seeds – 4.8 g). Yield is 25.7 c/ha, which is 9 % higher than the standard for Nika varieties.
The key product characteristics include allyl oil content of 0.68 % and fat in seeds of 49.5 %, both indicators exceeding the average values for Sarepta mustard. The variety is resistant to several diseases: cabbage flea beetle, cabbage pod borer, powdery mildew and alternaria. Due to these properties, PERVOTAROVSKAYA is suitable both for industrial oil production and for creating a hot sauce that gives dishes a distinctive taste and aroma.
