Description Vivat
«Vivat» mustard is a type of Sarepta mustard (Sinapis alba L.) intended for cultivation in areas where food crops are grown. The plant is of medium height (120–124 cm) with a low attached branch height of 45 cm, featuring smooth leaves and weak lobing, while the inflorescences are racemose with light yellow flowers. The seeds are yellow in color, weighing 4.2 g per thousand, which corresponds to an average yield of 4.2 to 12.7 centners per hectare.

The variety is distinguished by its high fat content – 46.7%, as well as a moderate level of erucic acid (0.9–2.1%) and allyl oil (0.6–1.1%). These indicators make it a valuable source of oils for culinary, bakery, confectionery, and pharmaceutical industries. Defatted meal from seeds is used in the production of table mustard – a spice for meat, soups, and vegetables.

«Vivat» is resistant to lodging, drought, powdery mildew, cruciferous blackleg, and alternaria, and also has medium resistance to cruciferous flower weevil. The vegetative period is 87 days, and the maturation time is average. The variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting and subsequent processing, making it a convenient choice for both farmers and industrial enterprises engaged in the production of mustard oil and spices.
