ZLATA – oat (Avena sativa), an annual herbaceous grass, valuable in agriculture due to its high feed value and versatility in cultivation.

The crop is characterized by the ability to actively regrow until late autumn and good adaptation to various soil types with different pH levels, including strongly acidic ones. Successful growth requires well-moistened soils; the plant demonstrates frost resistance, although it is not particularly resistant to summer droughts.

At the beginning of ear emergence, oat is actively used in livestock feed, and during flowering it retains high feed value. Fertilization with phosphorus and potassium can reduce alkaloid content in the grass, enhancing its nutritional value. Due to these properties, oat is widely used to improve feed quality, enrich soils, and maintain stable ecosystems.
