Bentgrass HERIOT

The Professional Choice for Golf Courses and Premium Lawns

When it comes to creating the perfect surface for golf courses or high-end landscapes, seed selection is a matter of professional reputation. The Colonial Bentgrass (Agrostis capillaris) variety 'Heriot' from Barenbrug Holland is the solution for those who refuse to compromise on turf quality.

Maintenance and Performance

'Heriot' is more than just grass; it is a tool in the hands of a professional greenkeeper. During operation, this variety demonstrates exceptional turf density, which is critical for weed suppression. Even under intensive use, the bentgrass retains its aesthetics and functionality, easily handling the low mowing heights required for professional golf greens.

Disease Resistance

One of the primary headaches in high-quality lawn maintenance is fungal infection. In developing 'Heriot', breeders from Barenbrug Holland and Aberystwyth University prioritized natural resistance. The variety performs excellently against dollar spot and red thread, significantly reducing the need for fungicide applications. Less chemical intervention means healthier soil and lower operational costs.
