Cobra Nova is a premium variety of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera), specifically developed for use on golf courses and other sports fields. Thanks to STRI and NTEP trial results, this variety received the highest rating among similar varieties, confirming its superior playing qualities.
The variety is characterized by fine leaf texture, exceptional density, and a rich light green color, making it a market leader in turf grasses. Cobra Nova can withstand mowing down to 2.5 mm without loss of turf density and demonstrates high disease resistance and excellent response to fertilizers – properties inherited from the original Cobra variety.
Creeping bentgrass grows primarily outward, forming numerous creeping stems with 'stolons', ensuring rapid field coverage. Thanks to this variety, frequent mowing is not required: even after the grass dries out, it continues to form new stems and restore the carpet. This makes Cobra Nova an ideal choice for landscape design, where both aesthetics and turf longevity are important.
