Fescue CAPRICCIO

Capriccio by DLF: Excellence in Red Fescue

The Capriccio variety, developed by the Danish company DLF Seeds A/S, represents a high-standard solution in the red fescue market. As a variety designed for professional use, it strikes a critical balance between aesthetic appeal and robust physical performance, making it a staple in premium turf mixtures.

Key Technical Advantages

Capriccio is engineered to minimize maintenance requirements while maximizing turf quality. One of its most notable traits is its resilience against common fungal pathogens, which allows it to maintain a healthy stand even under stress. The variety shows strong resistance to:

• Fusarium: Providing built-in protection against one of the most destructive turf diseases.
• Red Thread: Ensuring the turf stays vibrant and healthy even in high-humidity conditions.

Furthermore, Capriccio is recognized for its high tolerance to wear and tear. This makes it an ideal candidate for areas subject to regular mechanical stress, as it maintains its density and structural integrity, preventing the thinning often associated with inferior varieties.

Market Application

While categorized under forage grass, Capriccio has carved out a significant role in the amenity and professional lawn sector. Its dense tillering ability allows it to outcompete weeds and establish a uniform, durable ground cover. This combination of traits makes it a highly sought-after component for parks, recreational spaces, and professional landscaping projects where durability and aesthetic consistency are equally prioritized. By choosing Capriccio, producers and landscape managers benefit from the rigorous standards of Danish breeding, ensuring a reliable performance throughout the growing season.
